The American English Academy is the only official Advanced Placement (AP) exam center in Bulgaria.

AEA students prepare for up to five AP exams throughout their high school career as part of the curriculum. We also support and advise our students when they want to take additional AP exams.

The registration fee for an AP Exam is $300

Before registration, the student taking the exam must:
  • Have a CollegeBoard account. Click here to create one;
  • Provide the following information (via email: office@aeasofia.com):
    • AP Exam(s) the student is planning to take;
    • Most recent school transcript of the student;
    • Proof of payment of the respective amount made via the AEA Bank Accounts.
After the registration is confirmed by AEA, you will receive the AP Exam Code via email that the student must enter in their CollegeBoard account. Further information regarding the exam day procedures will be shared with you prior to the exam.
We will also have to check the possibility to organize the respective exam during the given school year and confirm that to you.
Any exam requests outside of the announced timeline will be taken into consideration individually, according to the specific situation.
